Kinkeliba — in the French pharmacopoeia since 1937
Combretum micranthum G. Don, known as Kinkeliba or Seh-haw, is a shrub of the Sahelian and Sudano-Sahelian zones of West and Central Africa. Its leaves have been listed in the French pharmacopoeia since 1937 — a rare official recognition for an African plant, reflecting the long history and solidity of its scientific documentation.
Rich in flavonoids (including catechins, among the most powerful antioxidants), tannins, polyphenols, terpenoids and alkaloids, Kinkeliba leaves have a well-documented phytochemical profile. A 2024 study confirmed the diversity of their active compounds, including flavonoids, polyphenols, alkaloids, fatty acids, terpenoids and steroids. They are recognised as one of the highest antioxidant sources among African plant infusions.
TchadAgriSourcing harvests Kinkeliba leaves at peak season in Chad — green leaves (stronger flavour) or brown leaves (milder flavour) to suit your preference. Controlled drying, moisture ≤ 12%, packed in 10–25 kg bags. COA provided with every order.
