Moringa oil — the African “dry oil”

Moringa oleifera oil, historically known as “ben oil”, is cold-pressed from moringa seeds. Its composition is dominated by oleic acid (70–80%), a monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid naturally present in the skin’s hydrolipidic film. This gives it an exceptional natural affinity with skin and hair fibres, fast absorption and a light “dry oil” texture — with no greasy residue.

Behenic acid (~9%) is a long-chain saturated fatty acid that acts as a film-forming moisturiser and hair smoother — it is what gives moringa oil its coating action on the hair fibre. The total saturated-acid content (palmitic 9%, stearic 7%, arachidic, behenic) ensures excellent oxidative stability — ben oil is renowned for not turning rancid, a property that historically made it a prized base in perfumery for fixing volatile aromatic compounds.

TchadAgriSourcing offers moringa oil cold-pressed from Chadian seeds, retaining all of its active vitamins A and E. INCI: Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil. COA and technical data sheet provided with every batch.
